Wordpress seems to be better and better tool with everyday.
Really, this is sexy platform that allows you do all necesarry stuff to get nice CMS with SEO oriented thinking going on.
This weekend showed me the potential of wordpress so it is time to get a real use out of it. Time for programming.
In last 2 months its being crazy whats happening, google is kicking it’s own ass with the new update. Pages gets delisted and all the other types of things happening.
Anyway, most strange thing is that they don’t have all pages indexed, actually just fraction, and don’t drives traffic as well as oposite thing I have noticed - the PAGERANK. The pagerank is still the same, altought after first serious delisting the PR get wanished, now it is back and showing up for pages which are not indexed anymore. At last so says site: query in Google.
What to do - who knows? One of the things I know as a fact - earnings has declined?
Wait more - would be stupid; But again, if it is temporary, then it would be bad to kill 1000 link site with 1000 pages :>
Anybody with me here?
Unfortunatelly, I was one of these who were skeptic about blogs long long time.
The only reasonable idea that comes to my mind is fact that in 2000th to 2002nd I was creating way more advanced CMS than these blogs.
But now I’m changing my mind, they are so easy to update and SEO friendly that all I can say - GO and GET THEM!
Currently thinking on reprograming one and makind 2 level menu to be show at the top. That would be cool to have and allowed easily set up sites for me. Another thing is that there are necesity to change how category’s information is being shown as well as some extra plugins for single pages and some indepth linking, maybe also sitemap and link exchange pages.
WP ROCCCKKSZZZZZ!!!
Only disadvatage so far I haven’t took look into, is the UTF8; I don’t like UTF8!
This is the fundamental day for tags :)
Sandis Sandis Viksna Now, I’m IN!
Sad to admit that but one of my friends decided to quit his 1300 page domain because google don’t index it. That’s a pain and I can understand him. He will split his page into 20-25 little niche domains with 30-50 pages and probably this will be the most beneficial move for creating little AdSense empire.
Similar case I noticed was about 8 years old website with 300+ pages of unique content and it had only 6 pages indexed? WTF? Well, taking a closer look it turned out his link partners - about 50, had about 70% CASINOS!!! Lol, health site and casinos - don’t seems to work for Google neither me!
My only question is now - how to understand where is and where ends the relevancy in eyes of SPIDER MACHINES?!
Finally, yahoo changed the mind and after our HTML update which last about 3+ days to fix the HTML by the XHTML 1.1 standards, yahoo decided to give us a chance and added about 300 pages to the index, now having like 480 pages indexed; of course - it doesn’t means the traffic is going to come in;
Some smart guys gived us a hint that with google the game could be much seriouser as there could be some sort of duplicate content thing; which we beliebe could be about 30%; however, it is partial dupe as we have excerpts and paragraphs not article one by one with link back to so called ‘original’ source;
So we still wonder - current action plan is google sitemaps, and see if google will give us some more info on whats going on;
Btw, i’m quite surprised how sitemaps have been evolved in last year or so with lots of useful information on the site which again proves the fact that google knows all about our site in advance;
Being a member of elite SEO information source - SEO Revolution (click to read more), I got a chance to get this question delivered to some top google guys (you probably know guys like Matt Cutts), and so it turns out that unique content filters COULD BE the reason, however, there weren’t direct answe to that.
The site still is in the level fo between 45 - 62 pages indexed and listed.
The crazy thing is that all engines does spider and spider every day, from 5 to 50 pages but still not changes to index?
Does google tests the new robots or what? or maybe bigdaddy index? hell, i don’t know, but fact is that having like 5% pages listed everyday we lose revenues on adsense as well as other products;
Also the yahoo had delisted form 600 to 200 pages? what the hell is going on?
Let’s see after these 3 day holidays we got in uk this week (As monday is bank holiday);
Commoooon, google!!! get us listed for all 1200 pages!!!
This is like 3rd or so day, but this site is still not indexed, so this seems quite strange to me; I do bloging and also pinged the site, but still no news in serps, especially google and MSN; altough yahoo shows site in form of just url; no title or description;
About the page delisting - well, we are stuck at the 45 - 62 (depending from datacenter on google); so all seems quite good; at last, not getting worse, hopely by the beging of march we can see some pages coming back as we checked, google is reindexing pages as well as other engines; so let’s hope the google crazyness gets away!
having couple of friends with sites with hundreds of pages (all white hat, btw)
strange thing happened, and the pages started to get delisted;
first opinion was that it was because of too short content on pages, then it seemed to proceed even more, from 850 pages down to 51; shock! total shock!
maybe link campaign was bad, maybe something else was incorect???
all ended with fact that google get from 51 back to 61, which gives some hope !!!
but why? still looking for answers !
